Come along and discover the fundamentals of mosaic making in this hands-on workshop.

Ideal for complete beginners as well as those with a little prior experience, this course introduces the direct method of mosaic. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a finished piece to take home, suitable for both indoor and outdoor display.

We’ll begin by selecting and transferring your design onto a slate base — with plenty of time to explore and choose from a wide range of colourful tesserae. After that, tutor Sara Zaninović will demonstrate essential cutting techniques before you start assembling your mosaic. Once your design is complete, you’ll finish the piece by grouting it, ready to take away.

This workshop is a fantastic introduction to mosaic techniques and a great foundation for future creative projects.
